They are usually very vade, always use some very general adjectives. For example, words like 'clever' , or 'generous' are so general in usage that readers naturally gives these adjectives their own defination. Since they came up with definations by themselves, its of course more likely that whats been 'predicted' will fit well into the reader's life.
Also, human nature is very diversed. Its very possible that 1 person can have all the personalities for all 12 months. Though he might tend to show some more often than others. Thus, no matter what the reader read, he will definately find it able to fit into him somehow. -

Having said that, IMO there are real accurate and true predictors around but usually they don't say it out or do advertisement to earn money. It is a crime tantamount to death to reveal the truth I guess. Such gift are not given for one to earn money from it -
