  whoooaa.......at least our government has some heart at least to say.......i rather we build our own retirement village for the old folks in singapore.......that way.....we won't have to look at the neighbours face and attitude ........

  no more in johor already?? sighh.... now when im old..i need to pay such a high amount to stay in the retirement village...

  hmmm....i wish the sg gov would do some more to help the old folks......seems like at least they have some compassion....i tot they wanted to build it in johor.....seems to like throwing away old folks cos they aren't useful to the economy now........well...at least they have some compassion.........

  Jalan Jurong Kechil site offered for retirement housing
  
  15 June 2006 1939 hrs (SST) 1139 hrs (GMT)
  
  The Government has set aside a piece of land in Jalan Jurong Kechil which developers may use for developing a retirement village.
  
  The site is released in response to a recommendation by the Committee on Ageing Issues which asked the Government to consider helping the private sector develop retirement housing.
  
  The plot of land is one of the 14 new sites that the National Development Ministry has added to the reserve list of its latest Government Land Sales Programme for the second half of this year.
  
  It is on a short-term lease of just 30 years.
  
  Besides retirement housing, developers will also have the option of developing normal housing on the site. - CNA/ir
