I know many very wealthy people who are royal towards others. The types who would always pay for dinners, drinks and etc. Maybe you meant charitable generosity.

hmm.... actually it all depends on their characters perhaps. Not all wealthy people are stringy too... we cant say that if u are rich, means u are stingy. there are all kind of people in this world. hmm... charity.. makes me think of one incident... i was doing flag day for school and there was this rich-looking auntie voluntarily donate money to my friend's tin... well, all i can sae is tat, it's not tat u are richer means u are stingy...

50-50 as when you are rich, you tend to wanna get richer so people tend to save and save till they are too sthingy in the eyes of others.

Well here is what i encounter b4 in my sec school day
My school is organizing a camp fire , so we went out to ask for donation for it . But lastly when we encounter a rich lady asking for donation . Below are our conversation
Me : Hi , aunty . Our school are going to organize a camp fire but we are lack of funds so we hope you can donate some money to us.
Here what she say
Aunty : I rather choose to donate those money to charity rather than donate to you ppl for wasting the money organize such event and mess around .... -

the term should be Guarding their Wealth, building a fortress around their wealth.
if you wanna get rich, then while you earn, save & INVEST at the same time first before you spend your remaining money.
normal people who just live their days are like earn, spend then save the remainder.
i am currently reading a book from Adam Koo, millionaire thinking etc...perhaps you can try reading it, it will change your thinking.

stingy and thrifty are 2 different thing.
thrifty means one spend what is necessary and don't spend more on unnecessary things.
i'll say i'm a thrifty person. i can't stand my friends working with me who seems like everyday lunch time want to take cab go outside eat at restaurants.
come on lah, we are not like those managers who earn big money. don't understand what simple thing like lunch also must spent so much money on it. -

I would spend $4 on friends

I would spend $20 on friends
If i had $100
I would spend $30 on friends

I would spend $250 on friends

i find that friends around me don't has the habit of saving. they don't have any money in their bank at all, or not much.
like i got 1 friend in my office, took $20 cab to work everyday just because he everyday play games until very late and can't wake up in the morning. like that half his pay is spent on transportation. kinda worry for my friend. -

actually i am also kind of worried, as my elder brother and sister are also like that, always wasting money the moment they earn it. sigh..
