1) Women, stop pretending to be fans if you are not - you have no idea what football is all about
2) First of all, the world cup happens once every 4 years and it lasts for 1 month. Women shopping happens once every 4 days and it lasts forever.
3) 70% knows nothing. They can't tell Michael owen from Owen Wilson
4) 15% now something. They can tell Michael Owen from Owen Wilson, but only because they think both are "cute"
5) 10% think they know something. they can tell you that Michael Owen is an English striker and will try to recite a few statisticss. But does he fits into the England formation, and should be played as a lone striker against Sweden? "Uh...... don't know"
6) 5% knows everything. but they don't know who Owen Wison is (He's a Hollywood actor lah)
7) Women should stop acting as if they know the game when they are insterested only in the player's abs.

I was watching with a Thai girl who is a computer programmer (she went back to Thailand on Friday) and she was rattling off the names of the players on the screen like they were her best friends.
She kept asking me why Gerrad did not try to do what he did in Euro competition and what not competition or other against Real Madrid or some team when he scored from 30 or 35 meters out a few times (when we were watching England against T&T.) Then Gerrad slam the ball into the net against T&T and I was like, wah lao, she even predicted that he was capable of doing that!
She said Willcott is the youngest player in the whole of the world cup teams and he is only 18 or did she tell me he was 19? His gf she told me was really very very cute... very very cute she emphasized.
That Shev was the most expensive player in the world ...
She kept pointing to this palyer and that player and told me in what European league they were playing with like a certain African player was playing in the Spainish league and that Ukranian was playing the EPL and this guy and that guy in the english team was from Liverpool and she was so proud of it.
When Rooney came onto the field she was booing and laughing away because he is from ManU while everybody watching was clapping away.
Women don't know football? Crap; that girl knows more about football than all those guys who know only what the odds are.
She doesn't even bet. -
Wilcott's gf. She even knows who their gf are.
Another thing, when ManU was in Bangkok, there was an auction to see which girl got to spend the night with him at his hotel room! -

I suppose he's a bit harsh there. Perhaps it's true that a lot of women do not really understand the game, but at least the guys should appreciate them for their effort in joining their loved ones to watch the matches. Just like girls should appreciate their men for carrying their shopping bags.
