depends on the material.
For normal jeans which is not elastic, it will shrink a bit if you boil it under high temperature. It wont shrink much cos before you buy it, it has already go thru the process of "desizing" which removes the starch on the denim material. And mostly it will also go thru "enzyme wash" and/or "stone wash" and/or "bleaching" and/or "tinting". Going thru all these process will make the jeans shrink enuff. But all these process wont be done at 100 degree(boiling), it's done aroung 50-80 degree depending on what process, so when you go up to 100 degree, it will shrink. Tumble dry under high temperature instead of hanging it dry will shrink a little bit more too.
For those elastic type, you are not suppose to wash it under high temp. Because the material that make it elastic will be spoilt(loosen) if boiled, and it will make the jeans very lose, or even in weird shape bcos it's not elastic anymore.
