What can blind people do?

Is watching a show now abt a blind guy. He said something about wad else can a blind man do except selling pens. This got back at me.
I may be naive or what...but seriously it has caught me thinking. What can blind man do? What other jobs are there for them? How about education? Is there any diploma or degree friendly for the blind?
Im sure there are intelligent blind ppl ard as they are as normal as u and me. But is there opputinities that allow them to fulfill their dreams?

well, though blind people may be restricted in many areas, there are still areas that they can work in..some operator assistant, perhaps -

they may make better musicans than the usual folk...
or they could work as call centre operators...
but more importantly, they need to be given a little bit more chances than the able-folk. -
I don't think he is really 100% blind, i think he's just acting... his fans please don't come flame me.. its just what i think... See he can learn things, he know whats this and that, he can even promote some facial stuffs... if you are blind you think you know ??? In the local context, I have known of 2 blind ppl employed by a co to be telephone operators for 10 over years already, and they are very good at it. I think the co probably chose not to have direct tel lines, so that they would still have their jobs.

Massage is a suitable job. There was this movie, "At First Sight", a touching movie about a blind man who was having a decent happy life, despite being blind until he met this girl, who wanted him to go for a eye corrective surgery. After the surgery, he could see, but this doesn't make him happy, in fact it makes him depressed because since he was blind for so long, he cannot associate vision with things, he doesn't know how an apple looks like, but he knows what an apple is from feeling it. So while he can see, he is still handicapped in some way. In the end, he goes blind again and well, he's happy that way so I guess life is about a person's attitude rather than what the haves and haves not. -

To the person who disparages Weilian, I know nothing about except he won some chinese singing competition.
With regards to the blind, you must remember that to be considered legally blind, it doesn't mean no light can be see through the lens. It could be someone with severely imparied vision, to the point of unable to make out images clearly. Extremely, extremely blurred vision with minor colour recognition. That is enough to prevent a person from having a normal life.
In the US, I've heard of blind people being computer programmers through the use of braille computers. -
hmm...let's see...common jobs a blind person can do:
1). Street buskers - singing
2). Factory operator - those that you just sit there and doing monotonical stuff
3). Masseaur
4). Admin - secretary (see a tv programme about a blind gal working as a secretary)
5). Fortune teller
6). Work in a temple, church or mosque - to help clean the area, facilitate the worshippers
7). Give inspirational talks
. Do volunteer work in centres - like as in point 6.
9). Study braile and work normally?

I know some blind people who are CEOs, engineers, accountants, human resource execs, admin execs, etc.
