I don't think it's a rainbow.
Many many years back, I saw a rather wide circle around the moon. It was not clear, quite blurry and would not be noticeable unless you always daydream and stare into the sky like I do
It looked like some sort of halo and that night the moon was full. I'm still not sure what it was, and actually, now that I think back, I wonder if I was imagining things!

uhh what u saw was the light from the moon's surface reflecting off the clouds in the upper atmosphere that created that effect. but what i saw was a rainbow coz i could see the different colors..Originally posted by MooKu:I don't think it's a rainbow.
