  Before internet, go down to basketball/badminton court or fields to kick Soccer.
  Riding bicycles round the neighbourhood. Hang around at Macdonalds to chit chat. Watch tv lor or listen to radio. Play with toys unlike nowadays kids play computer games.

  lol yea. the modem made such cute sounds. the only problem was that it interefered with the phone line, so initially before my family got a second line, my sisters and i weren't allowed to use the internet during the afternoon, as my father might get an important call.
  
  i do recall there was once when i was at my neighbours house, and while we were connected to the internet his grandmother tried to use the phone. it was rather amusing because we could hear her voice through the modem.
