How do brands like Nike and Converse get so popular..?
Is it because of the quality or people just find the names cool..?
Their stuffs are expensive but I find the quality not bad leh.. -
they spend a lot of money on marketing

Nike and Adidas is not about quality apparel, its about lifestyle, the brand, and the image of the product user, lets say u buy a shoe for 100 dollars, 80 dollars is for the brand and 20 dollars is for the shoe itself.
if u want quality pls buy Deuter, really zai

one mroe thing about nike is they use ultra cheap labour in third world countries, its not jus cheap, its exploitation and abuse, i dun support! -

they spend big bucks on:
celeb endorsements
sponsor for major events
series of ads with a certain theme
these will create a lot of awareness and attract ppl to buy their products
