Gambling has been a human instince since the dawn of time. Nomands risk venturing into unknown deserts with hope to find something better. So no supprise that people like to gamble. The prospects of a chance to gain alot from little amont of money will attract anyone, especially the lower income group. -

I buy TOTO once in a blue moon, maybe once every 3 to 4 months, when the amount is incredibly huge.
I've won a fair bit on the football pools, but this year, I've only bought twice.
I'm the sort who can't be bothered to go near one outlet even if I've just lost 5 bucks, which is the only amount I care to spend. That's the minimum bet. -

pools alone made 4 billion on 4ds. what about those wagered at turf clubs?
how much actually goes to charity? only a few hundred million.
look at how aggressive they are and you know how lucrative the business is.
