BEng (Honours) Electronics
Objectives
This multi-disciplinary programme focuses on the electronics electronics manufacturing and technology industry which is experiencing a resurgence in Singapore and the region. Sectors which are facing a demand for electronics graduates include hospitals, biomedical companies, multinational companies and the public sector, in the areas of control and instrumentation, research and development, software development, maintenance of electronics systems, telecommunications infrastructure management/building, manufacturing and electronics design.
This degree programme emphasises technical depth as well as breath in its curriculum to help prepare graduates for a rewarding career in electronics. The programme structure aims to encourage, develop and support trained expertise with an in-depth knowledge of electronics, telecommunications, and IT.
For Whom
The degree programme is designed for practising professionals and graduates with polytechnic diplomas in science or engineering or with "A" Levels. The programme equips graduates with a balanced and comprehensive range of knowledge and skills in electronics, telecommunications and IT.
The degree programme is also open to all students whose entrance qualifications are not science or engineering based but have met the general UniSIM entry requirements. Bridging courses in mathematics and computing are available to allow such applicants to provide the necessary academic foundation to enable a smooth phasing into the programme structure.

Additional Programme Requirements
The degree programme is designed for practising professionals and polytechnic graduates or "A" Level holders in science or engineering that meet UniSIM's admission requirements. Applicants who meet the minimum admission requirements without specialisation in science or engineering will be required to sit for an entrance test in analytical and numerical skills, before being considered for admission.
