Question regarding application of ITE

Hi everyone
I will like to ask what the current requirements for applying to ITE,cause my relative was thinking of quiting school now and go into ITE instead.
He did not completed N level ,his results was bad,he sec 4 now ,but it is possible to enter ite without an N level cert as his teacher say it possible but durning my time it was not.
Secondly is there any other private sch which provide entrance without N lever cert that could be recommended?
Thirdly,another rumours heard was that at the age of 16 if an indivdual not studying will be enlisted to army and have to serve for 3 yrs instead of 2?Is it true?I have completed NS quite some time and was uncertain abt it?I know it sounds abit stupid too. -

the 3 years army thing is crap...NS enlistment is subjected to the enlistment act...ie...the law....so army cannot suka suka increase the NS duration(unless go DB then different story lar)....now standard 2 years liao...Originally posted by KenPlus:Hi everyone

I wouldnt recommend private school...if he cant be bothered to go to a school where he is actually required to attend....U think he will attend some school where attendance taking is just for show?not to mention the fees for private schools are much higher than what he is paying now...
from what I understand...enlistment at 16.5 years old is voluntary...used to have 2 guys in my platoon who enlisted this way...
let him go NS and take a few knocks...then he will know if he wants to study or not.

yeh the link to info very important..can call 2 check also...now although some ppl impression about ITE (last call VITB) has not changed...the entry requirement has changed...should be easy for most who can pass their o or n level.Originally posted by icYwATeR:

I also think let him go NS also good can learn to appreciate studies but dunno lah it quite weird to let a 16 yr old boi take M16 chiong sua lah and IPPT also dunno how to pass leh Lol too young. -

16 years old quite old liao lar....go hang outside some disco and see them get into fights...can kill with hands,chair and etc....m16 just makes it easier... -
Tell your relatives to clear the N level, then decide.
Heard from friends serving NS that they often bully and beat up those who don't study well. -

Lol... Where got NS must serve 3years one?
What is parents approval? Mean can only serve 3yr if parents approve otherwise only need serve 2yrs only? -
