  well actually, i gained most of my height as a male, but then i started on estrogen before my growth spurt finished, causing my height to be capped there.
  
  so what i'm trying to say is that, while most of my height is gained because i'm born male, i could've actually grown taller than i am now if i didn't start taking estrogen.

  that could mean females with heaps of estrogen tend to be short or guys with too much estrogen tend to be short..
