Ever wonder behind the red underwear is a zip to unzip so he can urine? If he wanna to pang sai how? The skin tight fitting leave no room to pull down unless whole costume pull down? Sometimes those hero comics creator should focus on such small points to make it more realistic
I agree getting a luminous color underwear wear outside is not a good idea. Imagine the color slowly from small become big and then from big become small and ppl on Earth may mistake that for a NEW star in the galaxy to be discovered hahaha.. -

Mr Soh, Superman got superspeed so he can get in and out of his suit in very fast speed. No need for uncomfortable zips that might chaft his sensitive parts if he was lifting girls, boats, island or falling builting debris. -
