Phone,Email or IM?

  Which way do u prefer to use for getting in touch with your frens,relatives etc?
  
  Do u prefer:
  
  1. talking over the phone for hours everyday
  2. getting in touch by email every few days or daily,writing how was each day etc etc
  3:talking by IM,such as yahoo messenger,msn messenger(now called Windows Live) everyday or once in a few days,amount u talk depend on frequency of talktime
  4: Do by the old fashion way of mail,once every few days by post.
  5. Smsing to your contact...range from a few to 100+ messages per day(u might specify)
  6. For classroom frens and during school time - passing messages under the table from sender to destination...50-90% chance of success based on respective teachers' control over the class
  7: number one alternative and cheaper, Online calls...examples are Skype and VoIp
  8:meeting up when possible
  
  I usually talk by number 3 during weekends and fridays and other day by smsing..the latter which is enchanced by touchscreen writing

  phone i dun like, i gets irritated easily on phone.

  definitely IM for me, but den the best way to catch up is still meeting up.
  
  can someone explain to me the concept of Skype? how does it work how come is free?

  I prefer to meet up too but sms or phone is fine with me.

  Skype is like a IM program but with the function of making phone calls to regular phone lines...say call ur house...IM function is free but phone function is about a US cent per min....

  Older relatives will be to meet up. For my tech savvy cousins, IM and SMS is the way to go, unless there are really important things to discuss whereby face-to-face conversation is better.
