Air-Conditioning Unit Issues

My Air-Con is approximately 8 years old, a FujiAIR Single Unit.
Since last year, it started dripping and called in servicing few time. Once, the condenser tripped the whole house circuit due to a isulation issue. And from yesterday night till now, it had suddenly stopped 3 times and will stop operation just 5s after it's switched on. It's unexpected timing.
I'm thinking if the Air-Con is of age already and it's time for replacement? I'm calling the technician to do a check this Sunday.
If I'm changing the unit, any suggestion for one costing $800 and below? Looking for Single Unit only. -

Me was using Daikin Inverter System 3 but don't find it good... It started to give me problems after eight months, like high amp and burnt condenser unit of the fancoil, changed my compresser's inverter twice, topped up the refrigerant thrice in a year due to leaking cooling coils, had one of my wallmount unit changed due to faulty PCB... BTW, all suggested new system, but no one say anything about my current AirCon.

after cool down, your compressor will run..but got heat up very fast and trip.
For replacement of compressor is around $3-400(labour cost include)
might as well go for a new one. -
Cos your current unit already eight years old, can try asking for trade-in, but from what me learnt from my contractor, they normally won't take in a unit more than five years... A quick check, is a System 2 cheaper to maintain and how much does it cost with installation?

2)CU wiring corrupt and short circuit. (low possible)

btw dont waste that money to call technician , save the money for new unit better. now air-con so cheap. -

Don't get conned by the TV advertisments and letterbox leaflets stating anything spoilt unit also can repair and at a reasonable rate... So far me know these companies don't have 'reasonable' rates offered... And by far, they might use second-handed parts...

2)transport fee for getting the part.($20-30)(go and return)
3)part profit $20-30
4)pair cost price.($50)
and this is the reasonable price. believe me, i'm dont know how many invoice type in this format liao.
$2-300 for replacement for a $50 part. -

no need, you just need to blow with R22 gas or coil vacuum. just beware you getting a new unit for the same coil size.
