English music vs chinese music

English music got metal... chinese music make people sleep -
Some Chinese singers/composers really suck big time.
One example is Jay Chou.
Mumbling and biting his words.
Sounds like a bunch of mash to me.
No idea what he is singing.
Lyrics are crap and have no link. -
Chinese... Must support good singers/music....

i dont care much about it's English song or chinese, as long as the music is good.
In general, most chinese music, are too "commercial". They write songs/lyrics and then find someone to sing it for the sake of money.
There are talented singer, lyrics writer, song composer in the chinese music industry too. For chinese(cantonese) lyrics, i like "Lin Xi", many of HK songs lyrics are written by him, some are not very good though(he has to write alot to earn a living, so not all of them are very good), but there are few songs that i like his lyrics very much.
I like English rocks too, those old one like Jon Bon Jovi, Meatloaf, Guns N Roses etc. -
English, because chinese rock doesn't sounds good and I dun listen to pop. So English rock songs for me and another thing is chinese pop is too soft for me.

Definitely english songs.
But some chinese songs are nice.
Songs by David Tao are classics. -
I prefer the english one as the chinese music industry kept copying the korean and japanese music and converted it into chinese songs. Damn irritating.

Faye Wong and Stephanie Sun have very good music, the other mainstream acts are ......bleah....really too yucks for my taste

i listen to anything as long as i think it's nice.
chinese, english, korean, jipoonese, indie, macedonian............. -
on the whole, i feel dat english songs are better.
many years ago, i listened a lot to chinese songs and love them. But as the years go by, i feel dat there doesnt seem to b any changes nor improvements. Most songs are machiam recycled... and copied... but of cos there is this minority dat makes nice music too ... but jus depending on this minority, i guess is not enuff ...
So nowadays .. english songs for me anytime -

personally, i prefer chinese songs.first reason becuz im better in my chinese.secondly, i feel that chinese lyrics are more meaningful. somehow i feel that the tunes are more catchy too.

Last time I listen to alot of chinese songs. Nowadays I listen more of English, but I still keep in touch with Chinese songs once in a while. I find that lots of Chinese songs are covers from the original English ones... One will be '24' by Jem. A female singer recently sang it in chinese, sounds pretty horrible.

I notice everyone is using the same point to argue for their side.
This shows how subjective choice of music is.
I listens to what I like, I got a couple of mongolian songs too!
