  be it macs, KF, starbucks etc. you spot ur most hated person and that person also hates you and he/she is smirking and walks up towards you. You know he/she is going to do something to make you miserable like for example he/she will be picky on the food/drinks she orders or he/she will literally treat you like a maid. Will you heck care or will you lose it?

  by not losing your cool and serving the person with a smile, make the person who hates you even more angry with you
  
  and they can't do anything about it without everyone around turning on him/her
  
  i've never ever been rude to anyone at work... i've always shown them courtesy until they become rude.. that's when being cool and firm frustrates them... speak to them slowly and softly while maintaining a polite tone and smile...
  
  and then watch them tear themselves to pieces in frustration

  Just put on your most sincere smile and say, 'hey!!it's so cool to see you here!!' in a ditzy tone. They get caught off-guard & usually they stumble a little even when they have plans to so-called 'put you in your place'.
  
  But remember, practise that SINCERE look. This tactic doesnt work if you dont practise tt wide-eyed sincere look.

  Serve them with the regular and normal service that me would serve others, and me would address him/her by their name and thanking them without any reserves... No need to be reminded of any previous grudges or feuds... What's past is past... Life goes on...
