  readers digest said subconsciously your mind will find people with names with 'front vowel sounds' more attractive then people with back alphabet sounds. so names like Matt (sound is aa) will make a person subconsciously more attractive then a name like Paul. (aw)
  
  readers digest arrived at this conclusion by doing many tests showing the same people's faces, but with different names below their faces. the same person's photo were rated more attractive when labelled with names with fronter alphabet sound.
  
  i wonder why parents choose their childrens english names without thinking carefully whether that name can be made fun of? is it similar to some object like 'DlCK'? is it plain wierd, or abstract like 'sunny'? will it be commonly mispronounced? is it just a month of a year like 'june' 'september' 'may' ? i know people with all of those names n more and they all dislike it.
