If that's say there is a job offers to you that requires you to do a 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am shift but you only needs to work 14-16 days per month, would you mind doing the job?

i wun, tired of shift work. ur bio clock will mess up. u cant go n walk walk after work, ur social life will decrease.

there r jobs that require skilled, trained and certified ppl on the round 24 hours a day..manufacturing, tel service, plant and refineries, security agencies etc...well if u happen to be employed in these areas as support personnel i guess there's not much choice
remember, some jobs require u to work with external parties that operates during office hours...if u get an ad open position for such a job but requires u to run shift at the same time.,.. dun ever accept it or even go for the interview...the chances of u commuunicating/ liasing with external parties is 0% since u will be working when they are all sleeping away...such jobs most probably u provide info for the ppl during the permanent day normal shift ones to work on so they will be the frontmen doiing the talking and collecting the credits
when u look for jobs with sucha requirement even if u go for interview always ask tactfully from the interviewers...a mismatch of their answers means u can just say"no thanks' to the position and seek better opportunities elsewhere. its a dark/ grey world out there...some open position ads advertise heaven but its actually a house of hell/ or a labyrinth in place -
if the pay is good why not? there are many other 'normal' 9 to 5 jobs which have no OT pay but almost always require u to work very late. Might as well take the shift allowance and only work half the days in a mth. Have to sacrifice ur weekend once a week or two though.

depends on how good is the pay, nature of job and environment. and whether or not i will be disturbed after shift work.
must be careful. not 100% guaranteed that after 7pm to 7am, u'll get to go home and rest, if boss wants u to do other things after that, u lan lan suck thumb also must do what. -

1) its manual/ standby jobs that requires shift work and allowances paid accordingly
2) no OT pay for executive/exempt level stuff provided they are not doing manual jobs during the extra hours.
i am very particular about OT and allowances many i used to work in a manufacturing environment. we put in shifts and extra hours in producing the goods but u jolly well pay us every cents for the labor we put in. now there are despicable employers (or rather bosses or management staff) who hire ppl on the pretext that they are junior exe staffs but added the gray line of "job duties includes any other tasks assigned by the superior" and OT is not payable. so knowing they hav a shortage of manual workers during they peak period they make u stay after your office hours to do manual job.
some caution to job seekers out there on the above mentioned. -
