  u r a temp staff, did many saikangs for ur dept.. but when it is ur colleague's bdae, ur colleagues nvr invite u to a lunch celeb with them, left u in the office alone. somemore b4 lunch still discuss lour loud wat to eat later.. how do u feel?

  dun tink the perm staff r tog for many yrs.. some only came in half yr ago.. i worked abt 2 mths liao.. but since is a dept event, they din invite me gimme impression that i not considered as part of the dept. juz feel kinda sad when i tink of dat.. maybe i shldn't work so hard..
  
  last time during my NS, although i NSF but whenever my dept got any lunch, dinner or wat shit, they will invite all NSFs out one leh.. and the officers will pay all the bills.. damn shiok

  learn to live without them lor, lunch can eat alone, go walk walk in town see chio bu then eat lor. If need company, jio your friends lor, for me i sometimes meet my friends at west mall or sometimes at town or novena square eat lunch and coffee.

  For me, I kana MANY MANY invites to so-and-so birthdays, festival celebrations at colleagues' house, lunch/dinner treats until I sianz!!
  
  It's very torturous to sit thru those sessions, esp when I know some of the ppl are (sometimes including the host) are back-stabbers. But I still have to wear a mask and be nice + say nice things to them. In addition, I have to trouble to think very hard what to give as gifts and what good things I must do for them to reciprocate back their ''kindness''....
  
  Office politics is dark. What appears to be something good may not be what it seems...... So be thankful that you're not part of your colleagues' game.

  It's jus a temp job anyway.
  Look on the bright side - No need to chip in $ for present as well as for lunch & i think u'll feel even wierd if u're with them with no common topic at all!

  It normal to face this when you're a temp, unless the folks are especially nice, or it could be they want to gossip more freely among themselves.
