Nus and Ntu

Rite.. A future student of NTU here.. But a bit hesitant of whether i made the right choice not.. Coz i scared Ntu is like dead sch and i just read up on some interesting topic of bof schs..

I noe NTU confirm is not 100% of the students is ai4 si4 buay3 si4 la, just scared the atmosphere there is like that..
Well so fellow forumites who haf been either uni, which one is more happening??
Moreover, is it possible to change uni at like this point of time??
Er.. Should this be in like Aunt Agony btw??

Well , I used to be from NUS. Just graduated from there a few months ago. I will say there is not much of a difference in the lifestyle of NUS and NTU, whether you enjoy uni life is very much up to yaself. That is if you want to be more active and participate in CCAs or hall activities if you gona stay in campus or just go to school attend lecture , tutorial and do project. Undoubtedly , the latter will make your uni life dull and uninteresting.
Since you are going into NTU , do apply to stay in one of the halls and join their orientation to get to know people. Then perhaps join some committees or participate in some sports to have some fun outside of your normal school curriculum. This is quite a fail proof way to enjoy yaself in uni. -

Dead school? Go stay in their hostels, every night can see stars. Kill boredom.

I second this. If everyday study study.. and nothing else, that's gonna be very boring.. Try to get involved in some (or a lot) of CCAs to know more friends. One word of advice... it took u so many years of effort to get into the university... so please study well... dont spend too much time on fun and games... You must strike a balance between the 2... some ppl happily stay in hall and play play play play play play play, and then fark up their studies.... some ppl do well in their studies but end up having a boring university life....
Whichever university u go into, just do your best and get your priorities right... not much of a difference actually.... and even if there really is any difference, it's too late for u to do anything now... -
for ur info..peking uni is not the best, its juz among the best..the best asian university is tokyo university..
and my advise for people going to ntu n nus, dun expect it to be very 'happening'..uni is a place to pick up knowledge and skills which u can apply in time to come..if u r the type who likes happening events and pageants and bashes..i suggest u look elsewhere..

Take part in ccas/camps and make new frens and have fun but make sure you get yur priorities right.
A uni is still afterall, a place for study. No point if u become mr popular and excel in ccas but flunk yur studies.

is that university that boring? try going out to find activities..... outside school.... then try playing online games or cca... studying is sian......... sian..... but still must study... haha!
