whats up with this place?
any pic?
such bad rumour and lonely spots are a cheap cheap for land prices...
a big investment to hold for the many years to hold when the ghamen needs the $$ -
does the service 72 goes around there to Tamp interchange (CPF /MRT ect)? I think only this bus goes on that road.
I have taken the route many times b4 since 1999 and i dont find anything eerie about it.
In case u dont know, the roads linking to tampinese HDB areas to hougang has been around since 1993 and very ulu that time , mostly like huge plots of land or fields.. think only few buses go there and there was no 72 Bus then. I remember buses leading to tampinese new towns from hougang or AmK go one stupid round and takes 1 hr plus journey.
In 1998 service bus no 72 was started linking tampinese interchange to NYP and u can go to tampinese in a short period of time bypassing the paya lebar air base(?). Now the bus is popular many working people/students people take it to go to hougang, amk, tampinese to and from. If not for this bus, u have to go one fuking long journey on MRT or from AMK -
Last time was 81
But Paya Lebar Airbase, most ppl board is along Airport Rd for 90 and 94 -
I drive thru the area all the time, nothing happened....until one night, I looked in the windscreen mirror and saw a female ghost seated behind......she....she was gazing at me!

THe only thing i notice abt the place is the 2 huge giant structure funnels or something along the road Service 72 goes, that narrow stretch of road along Paya Lebar Air Base which leads to Tampinese Mall.
Anyone knoe wat are the 2 huge giant funnels for? -

tat place is quite creepy n eerie.. everytime i drive along tat road, i try not to look here look there.. sekali c something i not suppose to c..

I been there once on midnight, the road was very dark, old and narrow. Not much cars at that time. Alot of trees on that road. Quite creepy.. Wonder before Paya Leabar airbase, what the area was..

The "old Tampines road" that people are familar with and Talking about here are from Tampines Ave 10 to Upper Serangoon road. WRONG! That is called Tampines Road.
Old Tampines Road is from Loyang to Changi Prison. That is the real Old Tampines Road.
It is more quiet than tampines road..

Ya man ........ Old Tampines Road and Tampines Road , quite far leh ....
Then what the hack most customers from tampines want to go hougang , always tell me : " boss , go by the old tampines road , many temple that side ! " -
i used to cycle around there when i was really young, my father brought its presence to me... got a lot of temper......oops templer............ooops temples, only air force guys frequent that places... and that my pa passed away, i go there once in a while on my trusty old kona to reminiscene..... hey how u spell that?
be nostalgic of ur past...
hey an advice to kids who love to cycle there, becareful of (chap lian, 10 wheels truck in hokkien) they love to 'bully' vechicles smaller than them..eg..bicycle, motor bike ah....used to be a lot of them around that old road probably bcos of con-struction work going around there ... these days their numbers dwindled quite a bit...
i used to go to amk avenue 5 industry park to work there, near the see-gate. -

few yrs back , me and a group of my kaki langs wanted to go for some adventure at hougang , so to get there , we must cyclee , thru old tampinese road , we all stay at simei , think was around 1 or 2 am , while going thru , i was playing , around , and all of a sudden i felt and tore my thighs , abrasion like siao near my butt cheek :~~~
anyway not dat eerie , wor , i haven riden my motorcycle thru there lots of time alone at nite when going to meet or come back after meeting my friends at hougang , last time can speed thru old tampinese road , now knn half way thru must slow down cos , got one big road hump there .
