I feel very bad seeing what you had wrote. But it is true. Mainly because of the DSA system. Anyone who can win a medal in sporting competitions can enter those elite schools. I got a classmate in RI who scored 200 for PSLE, just the minimum marks accepted for DSAs, just because he swims faster than others. They should scrap the Poly/JC system...
All go take A lvl or IB or something, then stream go Uni.
Lidat would be more fair and no one will say Poly better or Jc better. No one also can complain that Uni more biased to Poly or Jc people.
Got two different standards to apply for the same place in Uni... I don't think its correct at all...
Maybe all should just take A lvl or some other test since almost the whole world is having that as a minimum standard of grading nowadays.

It is ok to be either from poly or jc to enter uni - some other countries take in matured students with vocational training and work experience as well. What is so bad about that? Competition is always good.
Why scrap the system? What will constitute a good reason to scrap it ? And petty jealousy between members of the two institutions is not a good reason to scrap the system.
The "whole world" is a generalised assumption which is proven to be null and dull .
