Call back on public phones

  Hi everybody,
  I am in Singapore since last Monday and I like to know if it is possible to be called back on public phones. There is a number on the phones but I try to do it with my cell phone and it put "Wrong number".
  Did someone ever manage to get called ?
  It would be nice if someone could answer it is for my girlfriend to pay less than on my cell phone when she calls from Scotland.

  All public phones in Singapore don't have call back service...

  All public phones can't be called back..

  dun think the callback function on payphones is really wat u want.
  
  if i'm not wrong, it is a defunct, and has something to do with pagers or something like that.

  Public phones are a scarcity in singapore.

  Yup it used to be a service for pagers.. Which long cease to be used years ago.

  Certain 3rd Party operated coin phone is using a normal business line which is not a private number hence you'll see the number on your cell phone.
  
  However, you're unable to call back to the number as the owner can set the phone not to receive any incoming calls.

  call back on public phone used to have last time leh 15 yrs ago .
