What kind of reason will you give ?

Situation :
Wasn't happy working in current company, due to jobscope wide coverage from
admin, IT co-ordinator,
secretarial support for 2x Managing Directors, manager,
sales team (40pax) travel arrangement cum project co-ordinator for moving of offices (Total of 5 storey)
My dept consists only receptionist, me and manager.
Receptionist or manager on leave, i have to cover their duties.
This thursday 3pm, i have a interview appointment.
But my manager is keeping an eyes on me going MC / Leave.
What kind of reason should i use ? MC / Leave / Un-paid Time off
Please help to give me suggestion what kind of excuse should i use.
I am afraid if i am going to take MC, my manager will be crossed. Coz Monday i am on MC already (Really fall sick)
Can she sack me base on MC issue ? -

Abit on the tricky side, because i have just been confirm by the company so not much leave i can touch. Espcially after last month exam season which i have use up most of my leave. I left with 0.5 day only.

Dun think ur manager has the right to sack u base on MC issue. Read up ur company's policy on termination of service / medical leave privilleage, especially ur letter of appointment to see any clause to that.Originally posted by chaah:Situation :

Since u have taken MC on Monday, no harm taking 1 on thursday, the most she treat u 'coffee' or send u to human resource office for free 'coffee' break. Jus curious, how many MCs have u taken this month ? -
just go la... they can't sack you due to medical reasons.
You have a few options
1) If your interview is in the afternoon, go in the morning and act really sick. Tell ur manager you need to go to the doctor. Go already, get mc then tell ur boss doc ask you go back rest.
2) Just take full day mc lo. If they ask u(Which i doubt, at the most they will tell u to take care of your own health nia), just say mc can't come to work. If anything happens, insurance will not cover 1. Then ask ur boss she wanna bear responsibility if anything happens when u come work with mC? -

I have refer back to my appointment letter, yes there is a policy stated they can ask employee to leave base on unsatisfied job performance no need to say they sack us because of sick leave.
Sigh ! Stay longer i am getting depression, but i am so afraid that i am unable to find a job in short notice. So stressful as i have to support old parents.

Damn cheapskate. My company is moving out from one of the floor, she show the mover company surveyor only half of the floor area. Resulting the quotation of moving to be uncost. 3000square feet become 1600sqft, end up movers refuse to move the balance etc... When i told her, she told me to solve the issue.
2nd contractors to do re-instate of the premise.
She told their boss to help change 4 FOC panel of false ceiling board and repainting of few spots. When the worker counted it's 20pc of false ceiling and they need 10 litres of paint. So they refuse to do so, and i have to called their boss to ask him for help. When i talk to the boss, he told me what my manager told him is diff from what she told me.
When i ask my manager, she told me off " you must be firm to them, seems like you can't control them".

next time dun arrange during 3pm, try arrange for 12pm to 2pm, so can go during lunch ma... @ most they stare at u for coming back a little later than 1 hr only

she will sack me because she is having high expectation from this position. I saw the position of mine on Jobsdb dated on 14 July 2006.
Maybe you people can find such company where by it will tell you the description of duties from IT, secretarial, travel booking and etc...
But it's only they didn't indicate the supporting areas are who and numbers of staffs we need to support. another hoax in cheating.
Overall there is no bonus nor 13 mth bonus / AWS / Increments.
Whereby during interview if we asked about bonus etc.. they will tell us that all these will be discuss further when we are selected. But they will only tell us during appointment letter signing. So i have learn a lesson, not to reject any job offer too fast.
