one of the reason why singaporeans are not happy people.
early in the morning take public transport to work already so many unhappy encounters -
when i want to alight i sure know got ple who crowd outside the entrance dont let ple inside get out first.
so when the door open i purposely stand there dont get out first see their dulan faces because they cannot go in , then wait some seconds then i walk out
if not in a good mood just push and walk out -
normally if that rude person pushes into the train while I am trying to get out...I also push back if he is in my way...if the person is a gal...I will say "excuse me" and push my way out the next second.
anyway...my pet peeve nowadays are people who rush into the train....and then SLOW down after getting themselves pass the open door...blocking the way for those behind them.
...those kind I will purposely push. -

When I am in the train and if I see people standing on the yellow arrow pointing in towards the train, i will just go out and push all i like when I am alighting.

same goes for those leg swing big big ( t lan pa issit ) or their bodies swing /occupy into ur space. >> thus u seat down can purposely bang into them

Taking the MRT is my big mistake, should take other transports. 8 yrs ago it wasn't this crowded at all.

But at the end of the day, it's still every man/woman for himself. Singaporean or FT, male or female, adult or child, whoever that gets ahead wins the race for another day. Whoever that gets to squeeze into the mrt, without wasting precious time waiting for the next train or waiting for people to alight wins the race for another day.
Imagine last saturday, after NDP rehearsal, coaches of MRT filled with schoolkids, donning NDP2006 T-shirts sitting while, elderly folks had to stand. We sure are becoming a kiasu society...
