  HEARTHEAD applauds French soccer player Zinedane Zidane for choosing to defend the honour of his family after being provoked by Italy's Marco Materazzi.
  
  Hearthead writes: "Who will restore Zidane's family honour if he doesn't take things into his own hands?"
  
  Deepb agrees, "Z deserves our understanding as he was a victim of the Italian's unsporting trick. I am likely to have done the same thing."
  
  But Singforever thinks that Zidane disgraced his family by choosing to act so brashly, saying: "It's utter stupidity and recklessness... He let himself down. He also let his family down."

  NKF fallout
  
  PUBLIC confidence in charities has been shaken by the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) scandal last year.
  
  A survey commissioned by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre showed that the proportion of people who gave to charitable causes last year fell to 89 per cent, from 97 per cent in the same survey in 2004.
  
  Mailtorichard writes: "Well, I haven't donated any money to charity ever since the NKF saga...the truth is that I've become very disillusioned with charities."
  
  But Tequila-powered feels that other charities should not be tarred with the same brush. He says: "I am still donating to another charity."

  Zidane is using Materrazzi's verbal insults as an excuse for his violent behaviour. Zidane shld have dealt with Materrazzi AFTER the match, not DURING the match. What an idiot.
