When I read the article..I was like..'impossible'
So thick skin until liddat? or they blew up the whole thing? -
ambulance staff are public servants...they could have simply ordered the others out or push them out of the lift...why are they so meek?

the security guards should have been there to direct people to other lifts and allow just one lift for the patient

I think the punishment should not be fine alone. It should resort to mandatory cane to install fear in those ppl who try to block rescue efforts by the SCDF or other related services. If they are so obstinate to give way, spore should then install a new law to make them obedient and less obstinate and stubborn.
As most Sporeans are rich, fine is not a good deterrent. It should be fine + cane to reap the most benefit and at same time make those ppl fear for their actions

It's really very insensitive of them. What if the patient is their family members or loved ones?

Actually SCDF has been empowered to issue warnings to those who obstruct the flow of rescue... Just that they are short of empowered to issue fines...
