You said old auntie? Just let her be. No need to get upset over such peanuts. Even if its little kids, or pai kias or even adults, let them be. Its always good to have a virtue to be courteous even if many Singaporeans do not actually preach that. I still see many Singaporeans standing infront of the MRT door openings when the passengers inside are about to alight. Its really a pity to see no courtesy in some of them.
BUT hey, I do see some people giving seats to elderly. One time I even saw a foreigner gave up his for an old woman. It puts many singaporeans in there to shame. I am not that courteous too, but I do try to give some elderly or needy take my seat.
All we need is one person to preach these in public transports and places and the others who see it will be more or less feel some shame and next time try to do so. It may not be true in many cases, but this is what we should do right? To preach what we practise on courtesy.
