Yup yup, i ate starfish in China. Very common, quite a few stalls along the streets selling them. Deep-fried....It tastes like very crispy cuttlefish, but much harder to bite. The inside contains some black chunks of "flesh" that is slightly bitter, but delicious on the whole...
Forgot to add: It's S$2 per stick, about the same price as the other 'delicacy' in the stalls like scorpions... If Singapore were to sell them, i bet it will be priced at S$5 or more...
