My Cable Internet has problem! DMAN!

Guys! I have been using MaxOnline for months~ The internet did not go completely off but the byte transfer stop for a while and come back again. That means while i'm doing dling or playing any online games, i'll just go DC!
Sometimes my internet speed can go as slow as 56k or 256k Internet!!!!
Even normal explorer cannot load!
I've called Starhub for soooooooo many times and the blame is always on me!
Always things like maintainence, my router, PC setting and shit likdat! But the problem is i have 3 laptops and 5 PCs! Now tell me my PC got problem?!?!
I just lose a few hundred dollars on transfering game items!!!! NOW WHAT?!
NOW WHO HAS THE SAME PROBLEM? i heard many ppl has the same problem, COME COME WHO WANNA GO COMPLAIN TOGETHER WITH ME?! -
You have anti virus software and firewall right? I guess da firewall is whats disrupting your downloads and transfers.

>> How are they all linked?
>> Are your network of computers in line of site, or upstairs, or between walls and ceiling cross beams?
>> What kind of cable modem (brand & how old), what brand of router
If you running WIndows 95, please throw away. -

I do know Starhub use shared bandwidth and once in a "blue" moon will the "mentioned" speed arrive at your home internet for a mere few seconds at the most and with the correct programs there is no "disconnected" transfers occuring at my com.

Me's been using StarHub's MaxOnline for the past three years but never encounter a disconnection before... Maybe just that me's lucky...

You connect 3 laptops and 5 PCs together, and expect no lag? Worse thing, some of Starhub plans share bandwith, and using 8 PCs together at the same time will cause a lag. Not even the fastest speed can prevent lag if you are going to try having 8 PCs access the Net together.

yesterday i got dced halfway when playing dota
nothing wrong on my side, i played so many dota games with the same configurations(system).
then i saw the cable only has 3lights blinking(power,receive,send).
the "online" light wasnt blinking -
i use no problem lah, my singnet friend alot problem keep kao bei me.
but recently like alot pple in my area sign up maxonline ah. sometimes can quite lag sia.

heh. i had problems connecting to the internet for the past 2 days. i'm using maxonline 4000. i guess they're upgrading. my friend received a letter from starhub. i didn't though. oh well, dont use computer for 2 days wont die. lol.
