Dickson court hotel

Some of my family members will be arriving from overseas. I am thinking of putting them up at Dickson court hotel (dickson road). Has anyone stayed in this hotel before? How is the service, cleanliness etc etc???

Its a beautiful hotel. Prices are relatively cheap too. But room a bit small...

My budget is around $100/day. I got to know of this place from the "uniquely singapore" website (not sure whether you have heard about it). But more than the budget, iam concerned about how good the place is.

Uniquely Singapore has supported it. So obviously its good. You can't expect a world class service from them though. But the service are good. Like any normal hotel. the rooms seems pretty good.. i noe of this garden hotel near orchard area.. 80 dollars / night.. it very cheap but the room ok onli.. of cos u wun find cockroaches or lizards la. got free complimentary breakfast.

Well, if you were to visit the uniquely singapore website, you would find a directory listing almost all the hotels in singapore. So, i don't think they are supporting or recomending any particular hotel.

If you are really interested in that Dickson Court Hotel... then prehaps you can make a personally trip down and have a look at the room that you are going to book... I think they should be more than happy to serve adn entertain you... If you are trying to be funny, then its ok. On the other hand, if you are serious about that comment of yours, i have this for you:
1. How do you know this place is ulu? Have you been/stayed there? Did anyone you know been/stayed there? Did you read or hear something about this place(do you even know where this place is)?
If yes, please elaborate....
2. So, you are telling me that for $100 i can get better places.....some suggestions please?

i noe singapore roads very well. one look i noe the clientele the hotel is aiming at based on the location and price u quoted.
if u wan better rates go to http://hotels.online.com.sg/. basically mirrors what fireice gave liao. with ur budget u can find better hotels. unless u stay in buffalo or they are indian relatives.
but since u feel that i'm not worthy of ur time, i shall refrain from aiding u in ur quest for a good offer. -

Dickson Hotel is OK if you're expecting something basic and affordable. Cleanliness should be OK lah, for most hotels nowadays. I've never stayed there, but I have overseas customers who have. They've just renovated it maybe 2 years back. Just opposite Sim Lim, its within walking distance to Little India and lots of food.
The only downside is that there is (or at least there used to be) a rather famous (ie. sleazy) health centre downstairs. I'm not sure if its still operating. It shouldn't affect your family though, unless they're really the conservative type....because I didn't see any sleazy people hanging around the lobby during my few times there. -
