Hurray, we got a bargain from the fare increase because of our learned PAP. Though operating costs have ballooned to 20% this year, the maximum increase will only be 1.7%, which translates to a rise of one or two cents, if approved.
It is indeed a stroke of genius from our learned government. They are indeed caring to our not so well to do singaporean. Let us show our appreciation once again by repeating after me. THANK YOU PAP. WE ARE VERY HAPPY.
From this episode, I can proudly say that we can have no worries of future fare increase from a tangible point of view that citizen will came out advantageous out of the situation again.

reason for fare increase due to rise in fuel oil prices so i say we too dependent on oil must source for alternate source...dun want our children to rely on oil to drive power too much -

To get the best texture for a rice, one must periodically 'lift' the lid to check and 'release' the right pressure being buildup in the wok. If the timing of the pressure to be 'release' is being supressed further, eventually what one gets will be burned rice.
A short and sharp pain is always better than a long tormenting one.

The rest must be negative reactions, so add both up, end up is MIXED reactions instead of just NEGATIVE REACTIONS from all poor public transport taking Singaporeans who don't have superscale salary to buy Car.
