My current opinion of this is that it shall be allowed, particularly in Singapore, though under strict regulations.
What I am thinking now is that for old-age patients that are still aware of themselves, suffering from terminal diseases and have to spent a lot of time going to hospital back and forth, just to do whatever can be done about the disease.
In such cases, since we all know the relatively high medical costs that can be incurred in Singapore, such patients shall be given the option to undergo euthanasia. This will release the pain and suffering the patient will have to go through, plus reduce medical costs for their families and free up medical resources as well.
Why not?
