And if the W950i boasts the same type of buttons, i'm striking off both smart phones. Quite a disappointment that Sony ericssion spent so much time and effort to develop one of the smallest and more stylish smart phones in a compact ergonomic package, and here they compromised on the quality of their keypad.

My second was also an ericsson: R600. Cheap but of poor quality. I managed to squeeze 2 years outta it, then swapped over to Nokia with the 6100.
This 6100 is a beauty. Everything i need, except a pathetically small memory.
So far, apart from the walkman phones, i don't see Sony Ericsson coming close to Nokia, whom are already branching into patented and branded phones, their N series already taking the world by storm.
Ericsson just can't get their marketing strategy right.
They originally had the monopoly for bluetooth handsets, but jacked the price so high and turned it into a exclusive product. This allowed Nokia and Motorola to flood the market with cheap bluetooth handsets and literally pull the rug from under ericsson.
Nokia moved from their famed 'human technology' marketing brand to a rapid and consistent phone design explosion, flooding the market with numerous designs every month to provide consumers with plenty of choice. Thus even if you disliked one or two of their designs, there would always be another 5 to select.
They successfully managed to instill ergonomic change into their marketing model, and for once showed that constant change is a blueprint for success, especially in a hugely competitive industry. -
Sony Ericsson seems to be getting their strategy right now. They are now focusing on marketing their cybershot and walkman phones. So far i cant find a convincing "walkman phone" from Nokia's N series.

i dun at all like nokia phone...hehe dats me only haha...no offence to all nokia lovers... i just find nokia phone lacking of smth else everytime...and not cheap sometimes

There's a limit to have cameras in phones. Their functions are limited. Granted that Sony Ericsson are getting more and more innovative in how they design their phones, still i don't see camera phones coming close to a real digital camera. So having a camera phone is just another glorified marketing tactic.
And since most phones have them, a phone design without one will likely lose out.
Lets see how SE reverses that trend with their M600i and the upcoming W950i.
