  It's funny, in Singapore people don't normally talke to strangers - much less smile at one another. But I note, that in an accident or in a calamity of sorts, strangers will talk to each other like long time friends!
  
  I just feel that people here are friendly, but are always with a 'front', some face mask, on guard all the time. Perhaps it comes from too much work as in office politics makes people put on a facade - hiding their true feelings or character.
  
  Generally, I think UPTIGHT is the word to use in describing people here.
