Seriously, if there was really a fight with a gang leader. There is no point in calling the police. The mata would probably come after the fight has ended, then got thru' a series of admin work, and lastly let the case to rot. So, even me, as someone of higher authority than NCOs, won't really consider to call the police. But wat i guess u are saying abt the attitude of NCOs. i have to admit that my idea of scraping NPCC is controversy, but i made my point. from all the arguments made, u're the only one who made valid points which i accept and to some extent prove my words wrong. to the others, pls stop arguing just for the sake of putting me down coz u're NPCC, argue like gd4u.
Ultimately, NCOs are still students, i guess, it would be difficult for them to handle the situation. How in the heck would a 40 yr old gangster listen to a 15/16-yr old kid ??
Secondly, if u see anyone breaking the law, i will urge u to call the police. If NPCC cadets were seen breaking the law, i think they are breaking the image of the Corps. It is very much similar to if u see a guy from a certainly school behaving in a bad light, he has just tarnish the school image in front u. Such ppl are everywhere, and ultimately, as a CCA, anyone is free to join. The only way is to ask the Unit OC to expel such ppl out. But such a move is very adminstrative, and most OC can't be bothered to do it. So the bad guys stay on ...
The last note is, NPCC is still a CCA and faces the same problem as every other CCA... -
I believe skyfoo has some personal grudge against NPCC we all do not know of.
Face it, there are black sheep everywhere. Why single out NPCC just because we are the National Police Cadet Corps. Its really useless considering that we have brought up time and time again that ANYONE CAN JOIN.
If you're not happy, be a man and go write in to the press or somewhere else where someone would take you seriously.
And one more thing, you said you witnessed a fight at a fast food outlet, and you blame the NPCC cadets for not calling the cops. Why couldn't you be the one doing it? Why blame others for not doing what you could have but didn't do? -

We cannot really change a person thinking that easily. If it was so, we wld have greatly motivated cadets! All we can do is to present the facts out. No one would be that easily convinced, but we wld have been able to tell the rest that what he thinks isin't totally right ...
Come to think of it, MOE did used to close down some schools due to high dropout rate (read: gangsters production sch). Since they haven't close down NPCC, means that we aren't bad ... -

hey npcc, ncc and military band are are mandantory CCAs in schools. quit one and you will lose all CCA points.
