  a rat is a bigass mouse
  
  mice are plural for mouse..
  
  a mouse, many mice...
  
  since rats are big versions of mice, and mice don't come bigger than mickey, Mickey Mouse should rightly be called Mickey Rat..
  
  oh.. rodents are animals with sharp incisor teeth and they include rats, mice, hamsters, capybaras, hamsters....
