interview help!

I'm going for an interview for an executive position at one of our 5 stars hotel.
The thing is, the director told me over the phone,
"Don't bother wearing too formal or professional! I'm not hiring a general manager or whatever. Just be comfortable. Okay?"
That being said,
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Anyobdy with ideas?

juz wear formal.
it's always better to look good then sloppy.
im gg for an interview today also.
also interview with director(s) of the company (MNC).
but im not interested in the job. lol. -
sekali u wear formal, then when u go there your interviewer is wearing singlet and shorts and flip flops, then u jia lat liao.

Wah 5 stars hotel leh, in singapore, I only know 2 hotels that dare to say they are 5 stars. Even raffles hotel will say they are number 2.

wear executively but w/o jacket and tie.
