I'm not sure about the rationale behind this, but I believe it's a deterrent against fraud seller. With the Credit Card details, actions can be taken against them.Originally posted by YI:hmm.. wonder what's yahoo! rationale behind this. any thoughts?
thanks for sharing. it does make sense now that you mentioned it.Originally posted by photo_seeker:I'm not sure about the rationale behind this, but I believe it's a deterrent against fraud seller. With the Credit Card details, actions can be taken against them.
I'm hoping that all buyers will also be required to have a credit card verified account cause there's a lot of unrated buyers who bid on your items and disappear once auction closes.
BTW, I'm a frequent users on SG Yahoo! Auction, with over 100 ratings. I'll say Yahoo! Auction is a better place to sell, eBay Singapore is simply too deserted already. Probably due to the requirements of having a CC / DC to open the account.

You're welcomed. I'm just hoping that some deterrents can be made against bongus bidders. Maybe instead of CC verification, SG Yahoo can use i-Banking verification since it seems that not much buyers hold Credit Card.Originally posted by YI:thanks for sharing. it does make sense now that you mentioned it.
There are. I've sold Nokia 3310 , 8210 , 8250 , 6600 , 7250i, 6670 and several other phones there and slightly above trade in price at shops.Originally posted by kaobeikaobu:why nobody bid handphones one?![]()
that would certainly enlarge the pool of potential bidders but i seriously doubt there is anything we can do against pranksters.Originally posted by photo_seeker:You're welcomed.
