My opening argument.
In life, either you win and strive to be the first or you do not bother to even strive.
In the olympics, first is everything. your national anthem is being played when you get first. not second not third.
You made it into a worlds first, your name will be forever in history. and not to mention guiness too.
not second not third.
sure one may argue its the efforts that counts.. well i say NO.
People all around the world believe that being first is better than second.
Sometimes being 1st means you have to push to da limit. Even if it means being unscrupulous, being scheming, being over competitive and meaning hurting ppl along the way. Many examples of being "first" by being back stabbing or worse can be seen in work life and even competitions at other levels.
In life, winning is not everything. There are times when people feel better not winning than people who do win, coz they learn more. And there are pressures of trying to be first. People expected some to make it to da top, this gives stress to the person involved. People not expected to be first can do their best without having pressures of making it to be number 1.
