haha but u should just try out cos u might like em...our tastes might differ u know =) but i prefer metalcore that sounds nice over technicality - which is what trivium is doing now, going all thrash and metallica like with just shredding and stuff and boring ol singing all the way =P In a way, trivium is exactly like a7x. They were metalcore, changed to thrash. They always play dual leads and both shred like mad. But I'd prefer a7x for their thrash/hard rock sounding album city of evil over the crusades...in fact, city of evil IMHO was a damn good improvement as compared to the crusades which made trivium somewhat boring....

Yeah a7x does sounds like Trivium but a7x still is more metal than Trivium IMO.

That's because they wanna look gothic and some are influenced by glam rock bands in the 70s like Kiss. I am just scared of goth especially those with heavy black and white makeups. I am not much of a metal person the closest metal sounding genre I listen to is metalcore. Even in metalcore I listen to the more hardcore sounding bands like Atreyu.
