Starhub's unseen plots on latest promo

I'm sure most of u are aware of starhub's latest promo on the samsung 26" LCD tv rite. well i almost went to get 1 for myself last week until i heard the criteria to get the tv.
1) new/existing starhub mobile users will have to subscribe/renew contract for 2 yrs
2) new/existing maxonline users will have to subscribe/renew contract for 2 yrs
3) new/existing cable tv users will have to subscribe/renew contract for 2 yrs
Only when u have done the above 3 then u will be ENTITLED a chance to get the tv cos its only for the 1st 1000 ppl.
In advertisement and brochures of this promo, all i remembered was "just sign up or renew A 2 YR CONTRACT and u will get this 26" Samsung LCD tV free"
it did not say get 3 2 yr contracts.
Starhub very short of money meh???? no money take from family member la ur got singtel and M1 mah. come out with this kind of promo to eat singaporean's money =.= -
a new tv means another tv license.

not really la, throw away old tv can le. but i'm just not satisfied with the way they bring up this promo to the public lor.

well i cant tell that any of the major telco companies in SG are not making money at all.
Like i said, if really not enough turn over, go borrow from ur family members lor. theres always a fmaily member in singtel and M1 mah. have to squeeze the poor off their money then they happy. -
i think this is a perfectly fine way of marketing
they are doing business u know -
besides starhub , m1 & singtel are basically doing the same , gimmicks / gadgets are long term business stragegy and that's hy they are making big bucks every year

well my main motive for this tread isn't about sue-ing anybody. its just to cre8 some awareness for those of u who are interested in the lcd tv and not to fall for their plot.

yah i read the fine prints. it only said terms and conditions apply. available for the 1st 1000 customers. thats all.

I read the fine prints on Straits Time and yeah, they did mention sign for all three.

I read the fine prints somewhere and saw the minimum requirements. And I don't call this a plot, it's a business sales strategies anyway.
But a TV Licence is charge per household irregardless of how many TV that you have. -
It's easy....just ask them if you're still eligible for the samsung lcs if you sign up with them now. Only sign up with them if you're able to get the lcd. IF they're not sure, you don't sign up lor.

What wrong with it. Unless they con you into believe that just by signing up with one of their service u could get the Tv, than it their plot. It stated so clearly that u have to renew all 3 than u could that the Tv set. So what wrong with it?

Yes. There's nothing wrong with that. They cannot be issuing HD-LCD TV just because you've recontract for a Cable Connection. In all contract, it's best to clarify all details and if you're eligible for any special promotions / giveaways.

As it stated, terms n conditions apply. Those are just their terms n conditions. Every company has their way of advertising. Nothing is free or way too cheap to resist, unless its a faulty set or wad. Aiyoh, being a sporean, im sure u noe this 'rules n regulations' wad.. they just don't state all of them on the brochure
