Crumpler bags review blog

  i'm consolidating reviews for the bags on my blog (http://crumplerlove.blogspot.com).
  
  was looking around the internet and couldn't find sites offering this service. many friends have asked lots of questions regarding their first purchase of a crumpler. like what are the problems? is it durable? is it comfortable?
  
  i've realised a lack of reviews and started crumplerlove.blogspot.com
  
  i was hoping to find more contributers of reviews here since this is a pretty extensive community. If you have a review for a crumpler bag you have, please send it to jon.chionh@gmail.com.   I've got a John Thursday 100, it's durable except that the flap and the body do not close well, rain may drip in.

  Everything about the bag is ok, except the straps they attach the kwiklocks to, they fray faster than your rebonded hair, thanks to their ripstop velcro.

  I bought a black Western Lawn a couple of months ago. So far no complaints. I got caught in the rain once and the stuff inside didn't get wet at all.

  it's a sheep scarer(extreme left), wonder weenie, seedy three, soupansalad, blunderbus, and my crumpler t-shirt(crumpler stick guy is embroidered into the shirt). have a skivvy 12 but using it at the moment.

  it's about the same price actually. the thing is the looks of a bag on a website is often insufficient info to make your decision as to whether you will like the bag. it's safer if you head down to the shop and actually look at it. then you will be able to find out more about the actual size, whether it fits your daily load of items you carry around, how the compartments are like, is it comfortable on your shoulders, etc.
  
  crumpler bags are pretty tough and the chickenTex material is not soft, so it's not as "flexible" as cloth or canvas ones. one tip is to bring your current sling bag or backpack with your items and do a test. the shop personel will allow you to put your stuff in any of their bags to see if you like the weight distribution and comfort of whatever crumpler bag you are doing this test on.

  Yes, I've noticed this problem too. But it can be solved easily by placing your notes in a hard plastic file or folder.

  i would think the main reason why a lot of people give up on ttheir crumpler bags is because if you look at the demographics, poly or jc kids would be the major group that buys crumpler bags. and the messenger bags like the western lawn and the barney rustle blanket are not really very friendly with paper and books because that "curving up" problem arises.
  
  but what you can do is to look into their laptop series. those are more "rectangular" so they can hold your documents and books better.
  
  personally, i am still in university so my most often used crumpler is the laptop bag, The Skivvy. I have no laptop, but it holds my notes and books great
