Mode of Grouped Data (pls help me to solve this)

  hi i am facing a problem which i dunno how to solve...
  pls help me....
  
  The annual salaries (in thousands of dollars) for all the staff at LCK company are as below:
  
  $'000 frequency
  20 to 29 4
  30 to 29 8
  40 to 49 4
  50 to 59 8
  60 to 69 3
  
  Question is : Find the modes for the above data

  there should be 2 modes in this set of data

  Then shall be simply 30-39, 50-59, cause highest frequency.

  mean = find average
  median = the "middle one"
  mode = highest frequency one

  Based on what you give, CoolMyth's answer is correct as finding mode means finding the one which has the highest frequency.

  the same type of question came out in every year's exams
  so i am desperate to find the answer.
  
  Qn is:
  $'000 frequency
  20 to 29 4
  30 to 39 8
  40 to 49 4
  50 to 59 8
  60 to 69 3
  
  the answer is :
  
  29.5 + (4/(4+4)(10)
  = 34.5
  
  49.5 + (4/(4+3)(10)

  in this case, it is correct.
  
  because there are 2 questions asked in the same way.
  both answers are in this manner.
  and both came out in the past year exam papers.
  
  anyway i kena liao
  the exam paper got this qn
  lost 8 points.

  That is not the mode.
  
  And I have no idea what you are trying to find.
