  when ppl wanna sell or rent HDB flats they will advertise on the papers and very often the agent will put 'I', 'A' or 'H'...flat
  
  wat does these alphabets represent?

  I, A and H refers to the type of HDB flats they are selling. For example 5I is a 5 room flat of I lay out. You can check HDB website for more details on the layout.

  I is corridor unit.
  A is the end unit, slightly bigger as it is I+corridor.
