Keeping one whole box of Ice Cream...did we did right?

Last week, there was this buffet (I was not sure wat was it) held at Kranji Logistics Camp. They were all attended by officers and NCOs, all at least 3rd Sgt and above if I'm not wrong....I was there to serve a table of Colonels...anyway there was this box of ice cream intended for the officers after the event, which was given to the mess auntie...however my boss says that we could have some, so my friend go and took the whole box of ice cream (intended for officers) and keep it later when we left the camp we have an ice cream party....after that day I have been feeling guilty...getting a bad karma for this incident....scared later go in army will suffer extra hard because of this, I am suppose to feel bad for this?
