Need suggestions for a light notebook with dedicated graphic

  Hello all,
  
  I'm planning to get a good light/compact notebook with a strong and dedicated graphic card in it...something like ATI X1600 w/256mb for example? (I do not know
  
  As pricing will not be an issue, please give me your best suggestions with brand/model/specs/price if possible.

  Light, ultra-portable notebooks usually don't come with dedicated graphics cards. And even if they do, I think the possibility of overheating would be very high, as graphics cards generate quite a great deal of heat.

  Light and cool design? Powerful processing and extreme graphics? Price is not a problem? Well, go for Alienware!!!

  Must not be heavier than 2.7kg (or my spinal disc will degenerate), I will be using it to run Maya, compiling programs using Java3D and OpenGL.
  
  Thinking of iMac too....hmm....

  Lol...as far as I know Alienware is not available here. You'd have to fly to the US to get it. And be prepared to pay through the nose.

  As far as I know, there are no shops in Singapore that sells Alienware notebooks. You have to order online.

  Only seen it online and in PCMags. Not yet sure if they are being sold in Singapore. However, those are for ppl who wants to play Battlefield 2 at 150 frames per second. And its for the hardcore. Please do share whats your main purpose for the notebook

  he/she said, maya and java3d, which not a normal 12inch laptop can do

  If you would just like to settle for something cheaper and yet able to juggle your work, go for a Pentium D at least 2Ghz with a
  
  512MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GTX
  SLI ENABLED
  
  2GB RAM
  
  For graphic demanding softwares, what really matters is your graphic card. Thus go for the latest 512MB.
  
  Most importantly, if your system needs to wait for your RAM, all your powerful hardwares will be pratically useless. Thus best suggested is give it more than enough. 2 GB will be the max for most notebooks and a clever move as the trend in market now is at least start with 1GB
