The Hong Kong drama da shi dai, by liu qing yun & zhou hui min
it is a classic. But i don't think many people here watched it before.. just try my luck.

Yeah,a really good show,watched it b4 when it was first aired here on TV,watched it again 2 months ago when i found it on ppstream

Very nice, but too bad, the story plot towards the end wasn't meted out neatly to lead the show to its finale ending... -
Yap, its definietly is a classic.... Ding xie is like cannot die in the drama....But all his son died in the end...

it was one of the best dramas.
but there were many good ones in the 80s like bian she long (chameleon), man in the net, qing1qing2. -

there is alot of twists in part two, those who were liu's friends happened to be a plot and they used him all along. n liu's victory over ding xie in part one happened to be well-planned by a angmoh if i remembered correctly.

is very very unique.
this is one of the best TVB drama i think
